Royal Caribbean Accidentally Sends Muster Station Push Notification

If you received a notification on your phone last week from Royal Caribbean advising you to go to your muster station, it was only a glitch. An alert sent by the line said, “You have 30 minutes. Go to your assembly station now and complete your mandatory safety briefing.”

Quickly after the alert was sent, the cruise line addressed the mistake on social media, saying “These Push Notifications were sent in error and can be disregarded. Our teams have already resolved the system error and you can continue to keep notification toggled on for the Royal Caribbean App.”

While Norwegian Cruise Line and Disney Cruise Line have gone back to the traditional safety drill, Royal Caribbean and Carnival both said they have no plans to return to it.

Liberty is currently sailing cruises to The Bahamas and Caribbean from Port Everglades.

Carnival also notified guests sailing Carnival Glory that it canceled voyages at the end of March 2024 through the end of April for a month-long dry dock. After dry dock, Glory will reposition to Port Canaveral for three and four night sailings.
