Carnival Cruise Line Adding Fourth Ship to Galveston

Carnival Cruise Line announced today that it’s expanding options for cruisers out of Galveston, Texas, by bringing Carnival Miracle to the port starting in fall 2024. From Texas, the ship will offer nine to 12-night cruises through spring 2025.

Miracle will reposition from San Francisco to Galveston on October 1, 2024 and operate a Carnival Journeys voyage that transits the Panama Canal and visits Cabo San Lucas, Mexico; Puntarenas, Costa Rica; and Cartagena, Colombia.

Once in Galveston, the vessel will offer 19 voyages starting October 16, 2024. Some of the new itineraries include:

  • Nine-day western Caribbean — October 16, 2024: Montego Bay, Grand Cayman, Roatán, Belize, and Cozumel
  • 10-day Panama Canal — November 15, 2024: Cozumel, Limon, Colon, and Roatán
  • 11-day Exotic Caribbean — November 25, 2024: Montego Bay, Amber Cove, Grand Turk, Princess Cays, and Nassau
  • 12-day Carnival Journeys Southern Caribbean — January 26, 2025: Grand Cayman, Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, and Cozumel

“We have always offered a great variety of cruises from Galveston, but by adding a fourth Carnival ship to homeport in Galveston and sailing these longer itineraries, we are giving our guests great new choices, especially for those who want to experience a wider variety of beautiful ports of call and more time to enjoy their time at sea,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line. “Galveston is one of our top homeports, and with the arrival of Carnival Jubilee and the new Carnival Miracle itineraries, it will only grow in popularity with our guests.”

The 2,200-guest Carnival Miracle recently completed a dry dock where Carnival’s new red, white, and blue livery was added to the hull. The vessel features venues including BlueIguana Cantina, Guy’s Burger Joint, RedFrog Rum Bar, Alchemy Bar, Punchliner Comedy Club, and the WaterWorks aqua park.

In Galveston, Carnival Miracle joins Carnival Breeze, which offers four and five-day cruises; Carnival Dream, which sails mostly six and eight-night cruises; and the upcoming Carnival Jubilee which will arrive the December to offer seven-night western Caribbean sailings.
